School Life @ BEPS - Waterloo In Pre-school children learn mainly thorough play and manipulation of objects. Hence, they are given ample time to discover and explore their rich and stimulating environment and to construct their own learning. Language, listening and communication skills are developed though story reading, rhymes, songs and games. Children are involved in a variety of colourful art activities, which give them the opportunity to broaden their imagination and to encourage creativity. In the infant section we focus on a wide variety of activities, which are integrated into all learning tasks that cover the curriculum of literacy, numeracy and the International Primary Curriculum. As the children develop through each stage, their work becomes more structured, without losing the fun element of learning and sharing. Children are encouraged to develop at their own pace. We encourage children to develop an interest in the world around them and to learn and appreciate other cultures. In the junior section students learn to:
Work independently Realise that they are not spoon-fed Be on time, with completed homework Listen actively and participate in class discussion. We want our students to be positive and happy, therefore they will learn. |
