Physical Education

Physical Education promotes positive attitudes towards active and healthy lifestyles. Students learn how to think in different ways to suit a wide variety of creative, competitive and challenging activities. They learn how to plan, perform and evaluate actions, ideas and performances to improve their quality and effectiveness. Through this process, students discover their aptitudes, abilities and preferences, and make choices about how to get involved in lifelong physical activity.

  • Year 1 – 6 have their PE lessons off-site in the ULB gym. Here they are introduced to individual and team sports.
  • Year 2, 3 and 4 have PE for one half of the year, and swimming lessons to develop their swimming skills at the Longchamp Swimming pool, for the other half. The children are taught by three teachers to ensure they are challenged at the correct level.
  • The children wear the BEPS PE kit for PE lessons.
